Calculus midterm

I am thoroughly unprepared for it.  Maybe not thoroughly, perhaps only very much unprepared, but I think I at least have a slight advantage of actually understanding the actual material, which is probably a step ahead of the majority of the class, nevermind that I'm no good at actually putting the material into use.

There's one section of the book that I haven't covered at all.  It's only one section, and she hasn't even taught it yet (which makes me think it's silly to include it on the midterm), so I don't want to waste time trying to figure it out on my own if I can spend my time trying to make sense of the rest of Chapter 2.  We'll see how that works out.

But my real concern is why am I humming Be A Man from Mulan?  I started playing Mark Seibert's CD to get it out of my head, but I'm still humming Be A Man (to the beat of Sunset Boulevard, which sounds slightly odd).

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

ETA: I am so going to fail this test.

Good luck! Break a leg!

(I will be forever grateful that I took physics before I took calculus.)

Thank you! It did feel a bit like breaking a leg, now that I think of it. :P

Yeah, I took physics earlier too, and I'm pretty sure all the word problems we get would register as ????? if I hadn't!

You know, I was going to comment on the calculus stuff and wish you good luck, but then I read "be a man" and said, out loud, DAMMIT, because now it's stuck in MY head too.

Thanks for that. >_<

<3 with love, of course.

BE A MAN!
We must be swift as a coursing river
BE A MAN!
With all the force of a great typhoon!
BE A MAN
With all the strength of a raging fire
Mysterious as the dark side of the moooo~~n!

Damn you and these eggs.

And Sunset Boulevard always ends up in my head too. In different formats as well. :P

I have faith in you when it comes to Calculus. You're smart, supar smart. :)

♥ for clicking! The eggs never end. I'm sure I'll get bored of them eventually, but for now, I'm still squeeing every time the eggs hatch/hatchlings grow up. Give it a month or so. :P

Yeah, I Sunset Boulevard floats into my head pretty often, and it's a lovely song, so I don't mind it. I love Be A Man too, but I don't really like it stuck in my head.

Gah! Asshole! Now I'm laughing in class and cant stop. My gross Corporations teacher is looking very disapproving at me but I still can't stop.

Good luck with your midterm anyway, but man I hate you.

As an aside, is your Corporations teacher gross, or does s/he teach about gross corporations?

[identity profile] cricep.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 12:06 am (UTC)(link)

Well, corporations as a subject seems pretty gross so far, but yeah I was talking about the teacher.

He sweats about as much as Arpi - but where Arpi is cute, he is gross. So there's no upside to having to look at him. He sweats so much that when he crosses his arms for a minute and then uncrosses them, a bar of arm-sweat has soaked through his shirt and the stain gradually spreads as more sweat from his torso kind of adds itself to the puddle as class progresses. Bleugh.
