don't wanna pack D:

I have four days left in America. I'm considering having a last hurrah and doing everything I'd miss, but I'm not sure what I'd miss. My playstation, maybe?

There's this one pair of boots I've packed, and I'm afraid the heels will snap. I keep telling myself they won't since I've wrapped the heels in my sweaters and then cushioned the sweaters from impacting anything with my fluffiest socks. I'm really considering just wearing them onto the plane to make myself feel better, but who goes on an overseas flight with knee-high leather boots? I mean, really?

In other news, Real Madrid may want to hire a new translator for their website. Or not, because this possibly made my day.

Hm... what to do? I think when I was in Cambridge four days away from leaving I went on a long walk and took photos of everything I might miss or was sorry to leave behind. Wanna have your postal address in Budapest, please! :D And fyi, baby_mammoth is also in this nice Hungarian town, starting tomorrow. If you want to have some lj-friends-meet-in-rl-feeling. ;P

I'm almost 100% sure that there's nothing I'll miss. I've moved around all my life, so it's not like I'm attached to this place. I feel like I should be either excited or sad that I'm leaving, but I'm just not feeling anything really. Which doesn't seem right.

I'll get you an address as soon I can! I don't actually have [livejournal.com profile] baby_mammoth on my friendslist. Think I should PM her or something? I don't think we've ever spoken, even though I see her all the time on all the comms we're in. =\

The better for you then. :D I think I just didn't want to return to Germany (which was still my home back then) and so tried to keep the memories alive. I think you would get along well with baby_mammoth; she’s really nice and you’re about the same age (give or take some months). Sending her a pm sounds like a nice idea.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA COMING OUT. WHAT IS HE, A DEBUTANTE? lololololol reallllllll.

also i would wear the boots bc i love boots.

[identity profile] liaku.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
IKR? I was like he had a whaaaaaaat? I didn't know you could emasculate a world cup appearance that much. xD

I'm seriously considering it. Usually I'd say it's silly since I take off my shoes on the plane and they take up so much of my legspace if my legs aren't in them, but it might be worth it if I'm just going to worry about them being damaged the whole time.

AHAHAHAHA COMING OUT PARTY. Reminds me of the one time a Bundesliga team screwed up a player's birth year and put down 1897 instead of 1987. Gotta love translation gaffes.

[identity profile] liaku.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Clearly they just wanted to say that the player was SUPER experienced and had played football for a really, really long time. :P

Since we've ~just~ become lj friends, may I ask where you're going? :)
&& Did you happen to get the phone case yet? I sent it along not to long ago, and I'll double check with my mother (her business ships stuff out) to make sure it wasn't sent back, but if not, I have an extra (I keep getting them, for free, for some odd reason) and if you'd like I can try and send another out before you leave, if you still care. Sorry about that!

Maybe put the boots in your carry-on? Or like wear them until you're on, and then just put them on the ground and wear something like flip-flops/sandals?? I don't fly much hardly ever so I could be talking nonsense.

I'll be in Budapest, Hungary, studying there for a year. I'm not planning on going back over the holidays, so I'm basically trying to cram my life into two suitcases right now. The sad part is that my life apparently fits just fine into two suitcases. XD

Dude, getting extra German NT phone cases in the mail must be awesome. I haven't gotten it yet, but if you've already mailed it out, I'm sure it'll get here by Saturday. If not, I can have my parents forward it to me by mail. Thanks so so much for sending it! ♥ ♥

Yeah, I'm considering that now too. They're knee-high so they don't fit in my carry-on unless I fold them, but they shouldn't crease if they're only like that for 10 hours or so. The downside is that my carry-on will be full of random junk that won't be as soft and cushiony as my sweaters/socks. I'm just being a ridiculous worrier though, I think. =\

[identity profile] cricep.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, if you cushion the boots to hell and back and they STILL break, maybe you should just thank your stars you weren't wearing them on some steep metro steps when it happened. I mean, boots are made to bear a lot of weight on the heels. If you take some reasonable cushiony precautions they'll probably be ok.

And anyway, IIRC your suitcase generally feels like like a solid mass of impenetrable brick. Just pack your usual anvils or whatever you had in there, and those boots will be safe even if your luggage is attacked by a bazooka.

[identity profile] liaku.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
...It was just clothes. :( And a pillow, that time. And some make-up. Plus a hair-straightener. But really, it was just a fucking lot of clothes. Sorry you had to carry it.

It probably could stop a bazooka though.

[identity profile] cricep.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
I think you have the heaviest clothes of anyone I know. Heh that was an adventure.

Nice icon.

[identity profile] liaku.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, last time on my week long trip there? I brought a carry-on suitcase thinking I could skip checking luggage, but nooooo. It was too fucking heavy! But at least it was the Ferihegy airport, it's not like waiting for luggage even takes any time there. If it were Paris, I probably would've missed my evening show waiting for that damn suitcase.

Thanks. Yours too. But you already knew that.

[identity profile] cricep.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 05:33 am (UTC)(link)

I love making icons. The problem is I now have no more space for them, and there aren't really any that I'm willing to get rid of. This one may go, and someday I may also part with the Adam!Schik one. But the others I like too much.

[identity profile] liaku.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, it's only $6/year for +15 icons. Or you could just go paid altogether, it's not that expensive imo.

Besides, I like the Adam!Schik one. Well, not like, but you know. It's not the fucking candy carriage if there ain't no one doling out the candy, you know?

[identity profile] cricep.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Heh I can't wait til you see him in Rebecca. He does sleazy so, *so* well.

[identity profile] liaku.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
Jesus. It's going to be so weird when he's all nice at the stage door.

[identity profile] cricep.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 06:03 am (UTC)(link)

In May he was really talky - if weird. I like him lots, and he's always adorkable, and we have yet to get a good pic with him. So yeah let's make sure we catch him.

And hell, maybe you can use your magical powers again to say hello to certain other people also... I can't wait til he maces somebody. I want it to be me, teeheehee! (<-- fangirly giggle)

[identity profile] liaku.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think he's really great for stopping to talk to his fans unlike our certain other people. We'll have to see about SzPSz. I'm still trying to figure out why my track record with him is so good. A part of it's luck when he's just not moving that fast (or Zoli's not letting him move fast), but he does seem less inclined to use his deathglares on me than others. We'll see. If I hug him, we might yet see him whip out the mace.
