Did a big batch of reading today, and my brain is bust.  I'm all caught up on history, except the Mazzini reading, and half done with politics, which is good enough for the time being.  I think I might camp out with my computer at a café tomorrow if it's warm enough for me to brave walking outside.  I really need to write these essays (the study abroad one is finished and submitted, so that's one down), and maybe some leisure writing too sometime.

I've been reading Nation, by Terry Pratchett.  It is heartwarming, heartbreaking, a beautiful story for children, and an incomprehensible story for children all at the same time.  It completely makes up for Unseen Academicals, where Pratchett disappointed me quite a bit.  I've also watched the entirety of Chuck, and I recommend it to anyone who likes spies and dramedy, because it is wonderful, hilarious, and a brilliant work of TV.  Highly recommended by yours truly.

And I randomly decided to adopt a couple of eggs today.  Aren't they cute?  I'm betting they'll all die, but go clicky clicky on them to save them from their inevitable doom for me, will you?

OMG, you adopted dragons? I thought it was one of the regular 1-2 ppl who'd posted dragons before, so I just ignored at first until saw who the post was by at home.

Try one of the dragonspam communities or the dragon_er (? Or something, I forget) if it goes down to emergency status. 120+ unique views seems to be around when they hatch, depending on the type and the clicks + rest of the views. I know there's at least two of the spam comms, not sure where people post on LJ these days. The other sites elsewhere are much busier, anyway, bleh.

Or hi, I seem to only comment to some people these days. Have one. Is the cwalken_twitter really him, in your profile? Apparently not then.

Yeah, I was clicking on your eggs, and randomly decided I wanted eggs too. I just joined dragon_er, and I think I'll join whatever spam comm that looks most active sooner or later. I've somehow really gotten attached to my eggs.

It's not actually Mr. Walken, though back when the twitter account was really active, it was by far the most hilarious/accurate fake account ever.

Which is a bit of a what and a miracle in itself. WTH, someone off the f-list actually clicks them, instead of just having to contribute to their views when on the f-list whether they like it or not? There are plenty of pretty ones, but some of them I'd rather stay as eggs if frozen like that. Unfortunately you can only freeze the hatchlings, and some of those look better before they mature, too.

Have some pretty colours and opposite advice in icon.

I usually click on your eggs! I didn't always click on hatchlings though--I didn't realize those needed clicks to grow up, but from now on I will. And yeah, the hatchlings are really preeeetttty~~.

Firstly, I clicked your egg a few times.

Secondly, I own Good Omens (the book with Neil Gainman). I want to read it later in life when I finish all my other books.

Thirdly, I was browsing the 'ElisabethFanAlbum' old posts. DO YOU REMEMBER OUR POWER?! Because I just died laughing. Our conversation about the 'power' was fucking hilarious.

Firstly, THANK YOU. I'm crossing my fingers that they'll live and keep on living.

Secondly, do that. And give Nation a run if you have time.

Thirdly, POOOOOWWW~~~EEEEEEERRR! Your mention made me dig up the old post, and I'd forgotten how hilarious it was! Comedy gold. I don't know what we were thinking when we thought that recording was a good idea. :P

I'm sure they will. I'll keep clicking until they are hatched.

I shall. Didn't Terry Pratchett also write Maskerade? The parody book about Phantom? I can't remember.

YES. THE POWER. DO YOU STILL HAVE THE RECORDING? I don't know why we thought it was a good idea, either. But I'm thinking it should happen again. O_o

They hatched! :D Naturally, this means I went out and got even MOAR eggs. The cycle never ends. I'm sure CLICKTHIS!!! spam is going to be how I lose all my friends.

Yeah, he wrote Maskerade, though it wasn't really his best work (he's written books that're worse, but mostly, he's written books that're waaaay better). Still a fun read though.

I recorded the POWER on a different computer, but theoretically... it exists somewhere on megaupload. If we have a go again, I say let me have a go with Rudolf since I can actually hit all his notes--but then, maybe me missing notes is part of the POWER, and I don't think I can outPOWER your POWER.

YAY! More clickin' for me.

And, that's what a lot of people say about Maskerade. I tried reading it but I got a bit confused as to what was going on.

And, I can't believe it exists still on megaupload. I know there are searches for MU, so I'm wondering if people found it and listened to our 'power'? Rudolf is all yours, I'd love to have a try at Der Tod. We need to plan this out because I'm going to be bored somedays and this will give me some serious lulz.

Yeah, honestly, I wouldn't even recommend Maskerade to a PotO fan as an intro to Pratchett. It's under par for him, though it's still a solid book--it was mostly written for laughs. His better books make you laugh, and then make you think. And then Nation goes the extra mile and made me cry.

...I really hope no one's listened to it. I can actually find my half of the songs on my filemanager. Mine's named southernhalf.wav, so I doubt that's immediately searchable. :P

Hopefully, I'll be free sometime to do another crazy recording. It'll be epic. And powerful.

Only counts as a click once per 24 hours I think, but refreshing this page will count as more views for it. *butts in unnecessarily*
