...Actually, ignoring the acting (or lack thereof), I think she did a great job. I want to see more of Anna!Halál now. But without the laugh.

Since I'm currently watching TV with my family I'm watching the video without sound but it looks lovely. And you know what I really would like to see in my dreamworld? Szilveszter as Halal and Anna as Elisabeth. They would be great on the chemistry level me thinks. :P And may I add I love love LOVE your new caro lj style?! ;D

Haha, I call it the burberry lj style, and I'm not really sure what "caro" means, but I like it too! :D

You should definitely listen to it with sound on sometime. Anna sounds surprisingly good (not perfect, she's concentrating really hard to get the notes right [and she does!], and she laughs at one point, which just sounds WEIRD), and I'd really like to hear more from her. Unfortunately, Elisabeth's one of the few roles I'd cast with looks in mind, and while I think Anna's gorgeous, she's just not thin enough for Sisi even if she does seem to get along fine with SzPSz. As far as chemistry goes, you need to see Kata/SzPSz sometime, because the sparks there are just unbelievable!

I'm really disappointed that she's not Danvers now though, because I was originally hunting down a vid of her singing Rebecca, and I now think she would've been my first pick--because really, I don't care about those last high notes, and Anna was great with that song.

Yeah, well... that's what I meant to imply with 'caro'. Must be a Germanism. We say 'karo' or 'kariert' for that sort of look. It doesn't have to be burberry colours though. I love it and 'karo' stuff in general. Shawls, trousers, blouses... :D

Just watched it with sound and Anna's amazing. The laugh is so her in a way but yeah, it destroys the mood a bit. What you say about casting Elisabeth with looks is right, that's why I said 'in my dreamworld' because I think Szilveszter and Anna really do great together (so this was meant along the lines of 'if Kata's not available'; I know that she has the most sparks with him but seeing what he said in that one article this might also be due to the fact that they know each other right from the start and had time to built it up between them).

Did you mean this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxaKu3y6KvU&feature=related
Yeah, that's something which I also don't get but oh well... let's see how it turns out to be.

That something which was popping up in my head as well, especially since Szilveszter already has practice in lying at Anna's feet which might be appropriate for one or two scenes of the show but yeah... definitely would be interesting!

I have no clue what is supposed to be happening - I'm not familiar with the show, but gawd, it sounds really GREAT. I mean. I like it.

And now I'm curious. >.>

It's a duet between Death/Halál and Prince Rudolf from the musical Elisabeth, except Death is played by Anna, who has one too many X chromosomes for the part, and some random dude whose name I vaguely recognize for Rudolf. The show's basically about the Empress Elisabeth (Hapsburg, not Elizabeth I) and her affair with Death. It's surprisingly accurate despite Death running around. :P

If you're curious what the song's about, here's a subtitled version of that song, and another one, from the Viennese revival. I would post a French version for you, but I don't think one exists.

ETA: In the first song (Restless Years), it's mostly the ensemble with the Emperor Franz Josef, and the dude in black is Luigi Lucheni, the narrator of the show and the man who assassinated Elisabeth. Also, the Rudolf in this video is Fritz Schmid, who we generally considered the worst Rudolf ever. But it's not like I could find another video with subtitles, so there you go.
