The food here is cheap and delicious. Also: the fanta abroad is light and sweet. I actually just thought that I grew over liking soda when I moved back to the states, but no. It really tastes different abroad.
Midsummer Night's Deam was a glory to behold. I did not get any videos, though we do have an audio.Furedi Nikolett was absolutely stunning as Titania, and I don't see how Kata Janza could possible match her in the role. Kerenyi Miklos Mate (I have no clue where the accents are on
valancystar's laptop) is the best Puck I've ever seen in any incarnation of the Shakespeare play on stage. At the stage door, we only saw Dolhai Attila (who was clearly in a rush, but he stopped for this little boy that ran up to him, so we let him go) and Nemeth Attila.
cricep did not, in fact, die laughing as soon as she saw him. Instead, she turned to me and said, "I'm not laughing." Well done,
cricep, well done. Anyhow, got his signature and I took a photo (in which both he and
cricep don't look so great, though Attila much worse; as soon as I turned the camera so he could see the preview, he did the aughthat'sreallyme?? face).
Now I'm going to try to do my homework before we head out for lunch.

Anyhow, will definitely blog with detail. A note for now: Nemeth Attila was a thousand times better than Szilveszter as Colloredo tonight. I'd go so far as to say Szilveszter was downright awful. He was definitely having an off night with his voice, and Valancy says he was off in his acting too. Here's to hoping he's better tomorrow.

Just went through your post again... seems like Kata is a bit losing out on Niki with all of us at the moment... I listened to some clips and audios with Niki today and she was awesome! Reg. Máté as Puck... (sorry this is the Shakespeare scholar in me)... please remember that one charm of this show is actually the musical-ness, which of course doesn't exist in the original 'only spoken' version (but totally agreeing with you about Máté).
Which Mozarts did you have yesterday (was it really only MÁZS today)? I just checked out some photos to get an impression of how Attila looks in the Colloredo costumes and I stumbled over the Mozarts as well of course (with Magócs Ottó also having portrayed him at one point; hopefully he didn't butcher him as much as Tybalt).

I don't think the musicalness changed much about how Puck COULD be performed. Most of his lines were pretty much from the play, and he didn't have any additional scenes (minus the bits at the end with Titania and Oberon turning/turned human). Mate was just wonderfully wicked and sinister. He scared the shit out of me.
We had Attila once for Sat mat performance. He was good. We had Arpi for all the others, and he was phenomenal. More on him later.
