Yeah, that would probably do it. I didn't like TVL because it delves into Anne Rice's vision of Lestat too much, which is a lot less interesting than the same character in Interview, I think. She puts him on a pedestal and makes him a tragic, misunderstood hero, while I adored him as a selfish jackass with style. TVL is certainly the superior book though; Interview reads like a fanfic.
