I came down sick today, and I feel better now.  I couldn't focus on my work, so instead of screwed around and shopped on forever21.com.  Then I realized I had a problem.  I had 63 items in my cart.  I clearly needed to remove a couple of things.  I enlisted [livejournal.com profile] lillueyue's help.

9:12:20 PM me: 63 items.
9:13:06 PM iceheart9950: wait, rewind
9:13:09 PM iceheart9950: did you say 63 items?
9:13:12 PM me: Yes.
9:13:13 PM me: I did.
9:13:14 PM iceheart9950: ......
9:13:17 PM iceheart9950: good god.

9:14:59 PM iceheart9950: THOSE TERRY FASHION SOCKS
9:15:03 PM me: I need them.
9:15:05 PM iceheart9950: true
9:15:07 PM iceheart9950: you need socks
9:15:16 PM me: I wore one pair of socks for a week.
9:15:20 PM me: They were smelly by the end of the week.
9:15:27 PM me: This is not a pattern that can continue.

9:15:31 PM iceheart9950: ....oh my god.
9:15:34 PM iceheart9950: what the hell is that?
9:15:41 PM me: is what?
9:15:46 PM iceheart9950: asymmetrical strap dress is out the window
9:15:58 PM me: ITS CUTE
9:16:01 PM iceheart9950: NO

9:21:04 PM iceheart9950: you don't need two basic racerback tunics!
9:21:08 PM iceheart9950: pick one
9:21:09 PM me: but they're nice
9:21:11 PM me: and cheap
9:21:14 PM me: their basics are good
9:21:15 PM me: pajammies.
9:21:23 PM iceheart9950: 63 ITEMS

9:39:32 PM iceheart9950: pfft
9:39:39 PM iceheart9950: 49 items
9:39:42 PM iceheart9950: progress is happening
9:39:51 PM me: yes
9:39:54 PM me: we now only have SEVEN necklaces.
9:39:56 PM me: PROGRESS!

9:42:28 PM me: ...the lunch bag could be useful.
9:42:32 PM iceheart9950: ....it's a lunch bag
9:42:34 PM iceheart9950: honestly.

9:43:01 PM me: btw, for the wallet
9:43:04 PM me: green or purple?
9:43:07 PM iceheart9950: PURPLE
9:43:11 PM me: ...look at the purple
9:43:11 PM iceheart9950: NO WAIT
9:43:12 PM iceheart9950: IT'S UGLY
9:43:13 PM iceheart9950: GREEN
9:43:16 PM me: ...okay.
9:43:17 PM iceheart9950: ....BUT THAT COLOR'S UGLY TOO
9:43:34 PM iceheart9950: it's like a pasty alien green
9:43:36 PM me: You are not a vintage person.
9:43:39 PM me: Asking Laura

10:28:56 PM me: Okay
10:28:58 PM me: screw Laura
10:29:02 PM me: she's naysaying everything

9:48:44 PM iceheart9950: you have a mirror already

9:49:54 PM iceheart9950: no.

10:14:14 PM me: ...It's such a difficult choice.
10:14:18 PM me: the studded jacket is beautiful.
10:14:23 PM iceheart9950: it is.
10:14:29 PM iceheart9950: but you also have quite a few cool jackets
10:14:35 PM iceheart9950: you have no chainmail.

10:29:37 PM me: ...
10:29:40 PM me: I'm removing the lunch bag.
10:29:44 PM iceheart9950: thank you.

10:42:22 PM me: I think I should do 3 necklaces.
10:42:25 PM me: The impossible question
10:42:27 PM me: is WHICH THREE???

10:44:55 PM iceheart9950: sparklies.
10:45:02 PM me: ikr???

My throat feels like shit, but I'm feeling clearheaded now, and I have enough backloaded work that I can't really afford to let it sit around any longer.  Check it out!

AND I STILL NEED TO WRITE SOME GODDAMN ESSAYS.

I am posting this in hopes that having my to-do list made public will somehow coerce me into actually doing the reading. Or at skimming it, because I don't think I'm dedicated enough to actually read it all.

I'm currently on Elementary Hungarian. I'll be studying abroad in Budapest next year (after I write this bloody essay!), but unless I do a summer language-intensive program, I don't think I'll be anywhere near fluent enough to take an entire class in Hungarian, and there aren't any such lit classes offered here, so I'd have to take them abroad.

The original plan was German lit, which I'd be on Advanced by next year if I hadn't dropped the class from my schedule this semester. If I pick it up again, it's still a feasible option. I'm hoping I can work something out with the department.

That... all sounds really really cool. Dude, I wish we had European studies over here. Though I'd have to give up post-colonialism (as I study it it applies to the First Nations e.i. aboriginal peoples in North America), and that would be sad.
