Calc grade just in: A
Feb. 17th, 2010 06:19 pmWe got a generous curve. By generous curve, I mean that the median grade was 28/50 (and apparently the average was about the same), which is spectacularly low, so the cut-off for an A was 33/50. I got a 36.5. Mostly, I'm really happy with an A/A-, but a part of me's a bit upset about a 36.5. It's not the worst score I've ever gotten on an exam, and even without the curve, it's a passing grade, but it's not exactly the sort of number that puts a smile on my face.
Anyway, I'm really tired and unable to focus on work--which sucks, I wanted to take a nap earlier but decided not to until I finished my lab report, two hours later, I'm only one paragraph in. More importantly, I have a ton of math homework to do that's actually due tomorrow (lab report's due Friday), but since I have a bio midterm on Friday, I don't want to have to write the lab report and study in the same day. I'm so behind in bio that I don't think I can afford to multitask tomorrow.
ETA: On the upside, doing well in calculus (and assuming that'll continue to be the case) means that I'm probably going to P/F biology, which is really no incentive for me to work harder. ...Which is not an upside, now that I think about it.
