GI Joe

Well, I went in only wanting good explosions and to see my favorite actors.  I liked it.  It... failed at a lot of things, mostly building up at anything.  And it requires some suspension of disbelief to enjoy--but it's not a thoughtful movie anyhow, so I don't know why you'd go to see it with your brain turned on to begin with.

Best thing: no bad actors.

Also, male:female ratio in that theater was hilarious.  Me and [livejournal.com profile] geozine went in dresses (she passed on heels, which sucked, because she could've been, like, the tallest person in the theater), which surprised us.  I mean, it was surprising enough that our first midnight showing of any movie was GI Joe.  Fun times anyway.  There is now a two nachos for $8 combo at Regal, btw.  Very handy.  Couldn't finish.

The electricity in my house went out except for my room and my bathroom.  This meant that my internet died since the cable/wifi box thing is in a room lacking electricity.  But hey, there's light in the bathroom!

My dad then came over about half an hour later to inform me that he made a deal with the devil: We now had internet (and the power to our kitchen is back up, so we don't have to worry about our milk turning into yogurt).  Except now we don't have air conditioning.
