So I watched 1, and it basically killed a part of me.  My brain hurt so much that it'd gotten numb.  It is a perfect masterpiece of a movie, a thoughtfully, brilliantly crafted work of art, absolutely mind-blowing, and I would never recommend it to anyone.  It left me feeling dead, and I don't exactly want to inflict that on anyone.  It's about a bookstore whose collection is replaced by this book, 1, and it's filled with statistics and such from the current minute, and the follow-up investigation on such a strange affair.  It's a lot about dreams, a good bit about imagination, quite a bit about death and rebirth, much about human imperfection, and I'm sure it's about many other things.  Hell, I can't really say what it's about, but it was perfect.

Yes, I am aware this is probably the most nonsensical post I've written in a while.

I say this a lot about movies I like, but I loved the editing, and the directing too.  It was terribly avant garde, and it was gorgeous.  In particular, the second-to-last scene, the final interrogation, was a lovely bit of editing.  Probably ranks as my all-time favorite movie scene.  I don't know what was before it came along, probably something from Blink.

After the movie, I went to a diner for a root beer float, grilled cheese, and french fries.  It helped my soul recover a little.
