I came down sick today, and I feel better now.  I couldn't focus on my work, so instead of screwed around and shopped on forever21.com.  Then I realized I had a problem.  I had 63 items in my cart.  I clearly needed to remove a couple of things.  I enlisted [livejournal.com profile] lillueyue's help.

Excerpts of our fascinating dialogue on American consumerism. AKA: BUT IT'S FUZZY! )

My throat feels like shit, but I'm feeling clearheaded now, and I have enough backloaded work that I can't really afford to let it sit around any longer.  Check it out!

Emmanuel Joseph Sieyès, "What is the Third Estate?"
Edmund Burke, "Reflections on the Revolution in France."
Chambers, 542-551, 572-596, 600-622.
Art and Jervis, eds., International Politics, pp. 1-103, 119-26, 153-73.
Jervis, Perception and Misperception in International Politics, pp. 58-76.
Benjamin Fischer, “The Vilification and Vindication of Colonel Kuklinski,” Studies in Intelligence, No. 9, Summer 2000, pp. 19-33.
James Olson, Fair Play: The Moral Dilemmas of Spying, scenarios 1, 3-5, 19, and 42.
AND I STILL NEED TO WRITE SOME GODDAMN ESSAYS.

I am posting this in hopes that having my to-do list made public will somehow coerce me into actually doing the reading. Or at skimming it, because I don't think I'm dedicated enough to actually read it all.
